Political hopefuls for state and federal office showcased their candidacy Thursday during a public forum in Burbank with less than three weeks until the Nov. 4 election.

The four aspirants to the Assembly, state Senate and U.S. House of Representatives who spoke at the Burbank Adult School included Democratic Assemblyman Paul Krekorian; his Republican challenger in the 43rd District, Jane Barnett; Democratic Senate District 21 candidate Carol Liu; and Republican Navraj Singh, facing Rep. Burbank, CA - Congressional Candidate Navraj Singh turned the tables on his opponent Congressman Brad Sherman (D-California 27th District) when he told a shocked audience during a candidates’ forum October 23 that he had once paid $5000 to get an appointment with the Congressman.
